Editorial Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

CasinoPost follows the casino and betting industry as a news publication. The site does not take bets, open gambling accounts or hold player money. Our editorial work is concerned with what companies and authorities have done, what they say they will do next, and what the available evidence allows us to conclude.

Preparing a report

A writer starts by finding the source of the announcement. The relevant record might be a licence decision, a court filing, an earnings release or a company statement. The article should link to it. When a fact comes from another publication's reporting, that publication receives the credit, and any limit on our own verification remains clear.

There are some questions we need answered before publication. Which market is involved? Is the decision final? Are approvals outstanding? What date does the source actually give? A timetable described by a company cannot automatically be treated as a regulator's commitment. If the documents leave a question open, the article should leave it open too.

For a results report, we ask the writer to account for the period, currency and comparison. Money wagered is different from revenue, which in turn is different from profit. Adjusted figures need their relevant qualifications. With enforcement, the notice's distinction between a fine, settlement and separate costs must survive into our copy.

Making the article useful

Readers deserve more than the announcement rearranged. The earlier reporting period, the history of a licence or a previous enforcement action may explain why the latest development matters. In our BetMGM Q3 coverage, revenue growth and a falling active-player count are considered together. That comparison illustrates the kind of explanation we want, rather than a rule that every results story should reach the same conclusion.

We distinguish analysis from established facts and from the statements of an interested party. A supplied image gets a source credit; it does not imply that our writer visited the location. Interviews, quotes, screenshots, tests and personal experiences must never be invented.

Review and accountability

AI tools may help organise research and assemble a working draft. Publication comes after the author has checked sources and facts, reviewed the material and edited the copy. The author and editorial team make the final decision and take responsibility for what appears on the site.

Sponsored content must be labelled, and a relevant affiliate relationship disclosed where readers encounter the link or recommendation. A commercial arrangement cannot buy a favourable editorial judgement presented as independent reporting.

We write for adults. An article does not guarantee that an operator is lawful or available in a reader's location, promise a return, or offer gambling as a way out of financial difficulty. CasinoPost cannot settle an operator's account dispute.

After publication

Use our contact page to identify an error. The article address, disputed passage and a supporting record help us review the issue. We correct significant factual mistakes with an explanation. An update about a later event should be identified as an update, so it is not confused with correcting the original report.
